The Ministers of Good Taste are back with a newly updated Baker’s Dozen Lists of Good Taste Upcoming Movies We Want to See (and so should you).  We’ve seen Fury (kickass), Sin City (Oh Eva), and Interstellar (Amazing) come and go, so it’s time to look ahead to the holiday releases and some early summer block busters!

#13 – Fast and Furious 7 – 4/3/15

#12 – Ant-Man 7/17/2015

#11 – Assassin’s Creed – 8/7/15

#10 – Yoga Hosers – 6/1/15yoga-hosers-105885

Kevin Smith is up to his old tricks as two teenage yoga enthusiasts team up with a legendary man-hunter to ride themselves of an evil trying to ruin their party plans. Smith managed to land Johnny Depp who we are hopping doesn’t mail in this role, along with Haley Joel Osment (I see dead people), and the stunning Genesis Redriguez. Look out for a few other familiar faces from Smith’s other films as well.

#9 – Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 – 11/21/14wpid-wp-1408025779886.jpeg

As Katniss Everdeen falls further into the war that’s brewing, I personally can’t help but hope she takes the time to wrestle with co-star Natalie Dormer in a pool of lime green Jell-O…. Um. yeah… No, this is going to be a popular flick following Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s unfortunate death and the overall celebrity gravitas of the cast along with the popularity of the book.  It’s the anti-Twighlight, and our love for JLaw knows no bounds.

 #8 – American Sniper – 1/16/15amersnip

Bradley Cooper stars as a Navy S.E.A.L recounting his military career and his confirmed 150 kills. Also starring the ever lovely Sienna Miller and directed by the Legend Clint Eastwood, this biography is sure to be worth a ticket!

#7 – The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies – 12/17/14hr_The_Hobbit__The_Battle_of_the_Five_Armies_3

Thank God it’s finally here.  Two films would have been enough for us, but Peter Jackson decided he needed three so three it was; and we’re finally here.  This is set to be the most action-filled of the The Hobbit movies – it is The Battle of Five Armies after all.  We might consider watching all the movies in sequence the day it’s released – how about you?

#6 – Avengers: Age of Ultron – 5/1/15Avengers_-_Age_of_Utron_Poster

Can Tony Stark and crew recover from S.H.I.E.L.D.’s dismantling and defeat a nemesis of their own making?  As the second film in the Avengers series, and the eleventh film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – we’re looking forward to this one.  Not only does it star the usual cast of superheroes, James Spader is in this film – and he’s the bad guy!  So it’s bound to be awesome.

#5 – Terminator Genesys – 7/1/15Emilia-Clarke132

I’ve got to tell you I enjoyed Salvation a ton and was kind of bummed that script didn’t keep going.   How will we get over that you ask?  Emilia Clarke as Sarah Conner!  What we know is John Conner is facing Cyborgs in both the past, present, & future, but if she can tame dragons, Arnold doesn’t stand a chance.

“Taking dinosaurs off this island is the worst idea in the long, sad history of bad ideas. And I’m gonna be there when you learn that.” ~ Dr. Ian Malcolm ~

#4 – Jurassic World – 6/12/15

Not a whole lot is known about this films plot – its set in the future about two decades after the original Jurassic Park in a fully operational Jurassic Park. All you really need to know is Chris Pratt is in it…and there’s Dinosaurs. Oh and the adorable Bryce Dallas Howard, can’t go wrong there.  We look forward to the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park series, and hope against all hopes that Jeff Goldblum gets to reprise his role from the original.

#3 – Exodus: Gods and Kings – 12/12/14exodus

This film looks like it could be an epic remake of the already epic Ten Commandments. Directed by Ridley Scott and starring Christian Bale in the role of Moses (he’s got some big shoes to fill), we can only hope this is a much better and more accurate depiction than Noah was – they’d have to really work at it to screw up that badly though.  With plenty of storyline and enough material for some awesome special effects, make sure this makes your list.

#2 – Mad Max: Fury Road – 5/15/15

"My name is Max. My world is fire and blood."

“My name is Max. My world is fire and blood.”

A barren wasteland of action and explosions can’t be a bad thing right? Reboots aren’t always a favorite of ours and something will never eclipse the origianl, and with Mel Gibson having played Max the anti-hero, those are big shoes to fill.  Enter Tom Hardy, one of those special kinds of actors that could be a superstar for the next decade and beyond. This will either be a fun ride or a waste of 2 hours of your life, no middle ground, so here’s to hoping.

#1 – Bond 24 – 11/6/15Bond-24

Our #1 an entire year out? Really Ministers you say? It’s James Bond, and Daniel Craig is back, that’s all we need. Throw in Dave Bautista as Hinx, hot off GoTG and the up & coming beautiful French actress Lea Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Color, Robin Hood, Inglorious Bastards). You can never go wrong with a Martini shaken not stirred.
